Creative campaigns incorporating music performances to highlight the dangers of homebrewed alcohol (Uganda)
Youth in Uganda on average drink more alcohol than any of their regional neighbours1, with almost 24% of 15-19 year olds engaging in heavy episodic drinking2.
Our Creative Arts Team is developing an awareness campaign about the dangers of alcoholic drinking through the use of music and videos. Our campaign will be aired on social media, to capture the attention of urban youth, while including live performances and workshops at local schools, churches, and community centres so that messaging reaches those areas that lack electricity and internet access. This campaign will be informative to encourage healthy choices.
