We are delighted to announce that UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund) will become the newest partner to join YHP with a focus on advancing the advocacy agenda in relation to NCD prevention and adolescent health. UNICEF works in over 190 countries and focuses on saving children's lives, defending their rights, and helping them fulfil their potential from early childhood through adolescence.
AstraZeneca will be supporting the new partnership with a $12.5 million grant over the next 6 years. The partnership aims to reach more than five million young people, train over 1,000 youth advocates and positively shape at least 12 policies and laws throughout the world.
We are excited to add UNICEF to the wide range of organisations working together to support the YHP, including our founding partner and community-based programming lead Plan International, youth engagement and development lead One Young World, and more than thirty other non-profit partners around the world.
Stay tuned for more announcements about our new partnership in the coming months.
